Participation in any services through Discovery Horse LLC includes, but is not limited to on & off-site; education, animal assisted therapeutic techniques, educational workshops and transportation for service related travel. I understand that in a group setting, I am in control of if and when I leave the educational setting. If at any point I feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable, I will respect my own body and mind's limitations and I will leave the premises and notify the presenter as appropriate.

I understand and acknowledge that in any event there exist certain inherent risks in participating. I voluntarily participate in the services taught at Discovery Horse LLC and agree to assume full responsibility for all risks, injuries, or damages known or unknown, which might occur as a result of participating in the services.

I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with my health care practitioner if applicable prior to and regarding my participation in services offered at Discovery Horse LLC and I have consulted a medical doctor or licensed medical health care practitioner regarding any described conditions.

I acknowledge that horseback riding, caring for animals, including but not limited to horses, equines, dogs goats, cats and guinea pigs, and all therapeutic and learning/ self-discovery activities involving or not involving animals entail known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to me, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. The risks include, among other things: loss of control, collisions; animals, irrespective of their previous behavior and characteristics, may act or react unpredictability based upon instinct, fright, or lack of proper control by rider or handler, latent or apparent defects or conditions in equipment, animals or property, acts of other participants in this activity, adverse weather conditions' contact with plants, insects, or animals; my own physical conditions or my own acts or omissions the conditions of remote roads, trails, waterways, or terrain, and accidents connected with their use, first-aid, emergency treatment or other services rendered; consumption of food and drink. Furthermore, Discovery Horse LLC seeks safety, but they are not infallible. They might be unaware of a participant's fitness or abilities. They might misjudge the weather, the elements, or the terrain. They may give inadequate warnings or instructions, and the equipment being used might malfunction. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Discovery Horse LLC from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of Discovery Horse LLC equipment, facilities, vehicles including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of Discovery Horse LLC. I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions, which could interfere with my safety in this activity, or else I am willing to assume - and bear the costs of - all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. Discovery Horse LLC aims to provide personal learning and growth opportunities in the presence of equines and other animals, which may include horses, ponies, mules, donkeys or hinnies, depending on the facility. Other animals may be present on farm properties as well, including dogs, cats, and livestock. Equine-facilitated learning and coaching activities include observations over the fence and in paddocks, pastures, and various enclosed areas, observing demonstrations, herd walks, grooming, leading, groundwork interactions, basic horsemanship skills, and quiet time spent in the presence of equine(s). Eco-learning and coaching activities include quiet time in nature, meditation and sensory awareness exercises and are generally held on the ground. Mounted activities on horseback are only offered in the presence of a qualified riding instructor and require a riding helmet. The premises where activities and services are held is inherently dangerous and may result in injury or death. You acknowledge and assume that risk and choose to proceed with services voluntarily having understood and appreciated that risk.

I understand that Discovery Horse LLC, in an educational setting, does not diagnose illness, disease or any other mental or physical disorder in the services provided. Privacy is not guaranteed while delivering services if it is a group activity or services are provided on-site at a third party location. I understand that services offered today and in the future are not a substitute for medical care and that any information provided by Discovery Horse LLC is for educational purposes only and is not diagnostically prescriptive in nature.

By signing below, I release Discovery Horse LLC, its owners staff and instructors, event facilities, event partners, as well as other participants from liability, and hold them harmless for any injury to my person, and damage to my property while receiving services with Discovery Horse LLC, whether caused in or out of the services provided, by negligence or otherwise.

I understand that Discovery Horse LLC may provide an area for personal belongings to be held during services provided, however, I agree that Discovery Horse LLC is in no way responsible for the loss or damage of my belongings while I receive services.

I acknowledge and accept that all fees, once paid, are not refundable unless other payment policies are offered in writing in conjunction with this Agreement.
